Warranty

Our Commitment to Quality

At Crestwood Cabinet Company, we stand behind the craftsmanship and integrity of every cabinet we build. Each piece is designed and manufactured with precision, care, and a deep respect for the woodworking tradition that defines our name.
This Lifetime Limited Warranty reflects our commitment to quality, ensuring that your cabinetry continues to perform beautifully for as long as you own your home.

By purchasing and installing Crestwood Cabinetry, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which define the scope and limitations of this Warranty.

1. Duration and Coverage

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Crestwood Cabinet Company (“Crestwood,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) warrants to the original residential consumer purchaser (“Purchaser”) that our cabinetry products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the lifetime of the product—defined as the period during which the original Purchaser owns the home in which the cabinetry was first installed.

For practical application, “lifetime” typically refers to an expected service life of ten (10) years, after which repairs or replacements may be handled on a prorated basis as outlined below.

Drawer Box Coverage

Crestwood produces two primary drawer box constructions, both covered under this warranty:

  • Solid Wood Dovetailed Drawer Boxes: Crafted using interlocking dovetail joinery for exceptional strength and longevity.

  • Blind Dado Drawer Boxes: Manufactured with precision-cut blind dado joints and adhesive assembly for durable, clean-lined performance.

Both are warranted for the lifetime of the product against defects in materials or workmanship, provided they are installed and maintained under normal residential conditions.

Hardware

Factory-installed hinges, drawer slides, soft-close mechanisms, and other functional hardware are also covered for the lifetime of the product, subject to availability of replacement parts.

2. What This Warranty Covers

This Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in the following components:

  • Cabinet boxes, frames, and shelves

  • Solid wood and engineered wood doors and drawer fronts

  • Dovetailed and blind dado drawer boxes

  • Factory-applied finishes (paint, stain, and topcoat)

  • Structural integrity of the cabinetry

  • Factory-installed hardware and functional components

If a covered defect arises during the warranty period, Crestwood will, at its sole discretion:

  1. Repair the defective component,

  2. Replace it with an equivalent part or product, or

  3. Issue a prorated credit toward replacement.

3. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This Warranty does not apply to:

  1. Improper installation or handling — including damage from incorrect installation, impact, or structural shifting of the home.

  2. Transportation or storage damage after delivery.

  3. Normal wear and tear such as minor scratches, nicks, or sheen changes over time.

  4. Environmental conditions — including excessive heat, humidity, dryness, moisture, or sunlight exposure.

  5. Improper cleaning or maintenance, such as using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasives.

  6. Acts of nature or misuse, including flooding, fire, earthquake, or neglect.

  7. Color or grain variations inherent in wood products.

  8. Alterations or modifications not performed or approved by Crestwood.

  9. Discontinued finishes or components, though we will make reasonable efforts to match replacements.

  10. Labor costs for removal, reinstallation, plumbing, electrical, or countertop work.

  11. Commercial or rental applications — this warranty applies only to residential use.

4. Filing a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Notify Crestwood in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect. Include proof of purchase, photos, and a written description.

  2. Allow inspection by Crestwood or an authorized representative before repairs or replacements are made.

  3. Obtain written authorization before any work is performed. Unauthorized work voids the warranty.

  4. Return of materials: If requested, defective parts must be returned to Crestwood at the Purchaser’s expense for evaluation.

All replacement parts are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

5. Drawer Box Coverage Details

Crestwood’s solid wood dovetailed and blind dado drawer boxes are both engineered for long-term residential use.

  • Dovetailed Boxes: Covered against joint separation, delamination, or manufacturing defects.

  • Blind Dado Boxes: Covered against joint separation or structural failure caused by defective machining or assembly.

This coverage excludes normal wear, scratches, finish rubs, or minor wood movement from humidity. Overloading drawers or using them beyond normal residential intent is not covered.

6. Remedy Options

At Crestwood’s discretion, remedies for valid claims may include:

  • Repairing the defective component

  • Replacing the defective component with an equivalent model or finish

  • Providing a prorated credit toward replacement components

Replacements may differ slightly in color or grain due to natural variations or finish aging. Crestwood does not guarantee an exact color match between new and existing cabinetry.

8. Limitations of Liability

Crestwood’s sole obligation is to repair, replace, or credit defective components as described.
We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, inconvenience, or damage to other property.
Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply in all jurisdictions.

9. Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original Purchaser and is non-transferable. It terminates when the original homeowner sells or transfers the property.

10. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties

All implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty.
No dealer, contractor, or representative may modify or extend these terms without written authorization from Crestwood Cabinet Company.

11. Care and Maintenance Requirements

To keep your warranty valid, cabinetry must be properly maintained:

  • Keep indoor humidity between 35%–55% and temperature between 60°F–80°F.

  • Avoid prolonged moisture exposure, such as steam or standing water.

  • Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid ammonia, bleach, or wax.

  • Immediately wipe spills, splashes, or water from sinks and appliances.

  • Avoid hanging or overloading cabinet doors and drawers.

Proper care preserves both the beauty and performance of your cabinetry.

12. Governing Law

This Warranty shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the state where the cabinetry was installed. Any disputes will be subject to local jurisdiction unless otherwise specified by law.

13. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire and exclusive warranty for Crestwood Cabinet Company cabinetry.
No other express or implied warranties, oral or written, exist beyond what is stated herein.
