Warranty
Our Commitment to Quality
At Crestwood Cabinet Company, we stand behind the craftsmanship, materials, and integrity of every cabinet we build. Each piece of cabinetry is designed and manufactured with care, precision, and a respect for the woodworking tradition that defines our company.
This Lifetime Limited Warranty reflects our commitment to building cabinetry that is beautiful, functional, and made to last. By purchasing and installing Crestwood Cabinet Company cabinetry, the purchaser agrees to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions outlined below.
1. Duration and Coverage
Crestwood Cabinet Company warrants to the original residential consumer purchaser that our cabinetry products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for the lifetime of the product, defined as the period during which the original purchaser owns the home in which the cabinetry was originally installed.
For practical application, cabinetry is generally considered to have an expected service life of ten (10) years. After that period, Crestwood Cabinet Company may, at its sole discretion, repair, replace, or otherwise address warranty claims on a prorated basis.
This warranty applies only to cabinetry manufactured by Crestwood Cabinet Company and installed in a residential setting.
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in the following components:
Cabinet boxes, frames, panels, shelves, rails, stiles, and backs
Cabinet doors and drawer fronts
Solid wood dovetailed drawer boxes
Blind dado drawer boxes
Factory-applied painted, stained, or clear finishes
Factory-installed hinges, drawer slides, soft-close mechanisms, and functional hardware
Structural integrity of the cabinetry under normal residential use
If a covered defect arises during the warranty period, Crestwood Cabinet Company may, at its sole discretion:
Repair the defective component
Replace the defective component with an equivalent part or product
Provide a prorated credit toward replacement
Provide another reasonable remedy as determined by Crestwood Cabinet Company
Repaired or replaced items are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
3. Drawer Box Coverage
Crestwood Cabinet Company offers both solid wood dovetailed drawer boxes and blind dado drawer boxes. Both drawer box constructions are engineered for long-term residential use and are covered under this warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Solid wood dovetailed drawer boxes are covered against joint separation, delamination, or structural failure caused by defective materials or manufacturing.
Blind dado drawer boxes are covered against joint separation or structural failure caused by defective machining, assembly, or materials.
This coverage does not include normal wear, scratches, scuffs, finish rubs, minor wood movement, seasonal expansion or contraction, damage from excessive moisture or dryness, impact damage, overloading, or use beyond normal residential intent.
4. Hardware Coverage
Factory-installed hinges, drawer slides, soft-close mechanisms, and other functional hardware are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, subject to normal residential use.
If a hardware component is discontinued or unavailable, Crestwood Cabinet Company reserves the right to provide the closest current equivalent in function and general appearance. Exact matches are not guaranteed.
Hardware must be purchased through our company in order to qualify for coverage. Customer-provided hardware is not covered by our warranty and any defect should be handled by the customer with the hardware manufacturer or reseller. This applies to hardware provided by the customer that is installed by Crestwood Cabinet Co. Installation of hardware by Crestwood Cabinet Co does not extend its hardware coverage policy to that hardware itself.
5. Finish Coverage
Factory-applied finishes are covered against peeling, flaking, blistering, or cracking caused by defective materials or workmanship.
This warranty does not cover normal aging, fading, mellowing, sheen changes, patina, color variation, grain variation, mineral streaks, natural wood characteristics, or changes caused by sunlight, humidity, heat, moisture, cleaning products, or normal use.
Because wood is a natural material, variations in color, grain, texture, and finish absorption are expected and are not considered defects.
6. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damage, defects, or claims arising from:
Improper installation
Improper handling, storage, or transportation after delivery
Jobsite damage
Normal wear and tear
Scratches, dents, nicks, scuffs, or abrasions
Improper cleaning or maintenance
Use of harsh chemicals, solvents, abrasives, ammonia, bleach, waxes, or inappropriate cleaners
Excessive moisture, water exposure, steam, leaks, flooding, or standing water
Excessive dryness, humidity, heat, cold, or direct sunlight
Seasonal wood movement, expansion, contraction, or minor warping caused by environmental conditions
Structural movement, settling, or shifting of the home
Misuse, abuse, negligence, impact, overloading, or accidental damage
Fire, flood, storms, natural disasters, acts of God, or circumstances beyond Crestwood’s control
Modifications, repairs, refinishing, or alterations not authorized by Crestwood Cabinet Company
Damage caused by appliances, plumbing, electrical work, countertops, tile, flooring, or other trades
Commercial, rental, institutional, or non-residential use unless separately agreed to in writing
Labor, removal, reinstallation, plumbing, electrical, countertop removal, flooring, painting, drywall, tile, or other related costs
Incidental or consequential damages
Unauthorized Modifications. This warranty shall immediately become void with respect to any affected component, hardware, finish, or installation if the cabinetry or related components are altered, modified, adjusted, removed, reinstalled, relocated, refinished, repaired, or otherwise changed by anyone other than Crestwood Cabinet Company or its authorized representatives.
Crestwood Cabinet Co shall not be responsible for the fit, finish, alignment, operation, appearance, or performance of any cabinetry or hardware following such modifications.
Customer-Supplied Products. Crestwood Cabinet Company shall not be responsible for the performance, compatibility, fit, finish, operation, durability, or warranty of customer-supplied products, materials, hardware, appliances, fixtures, accessories, inserts, organizers, or components, even if installed by Crestwood Cabinet Company.
Change Orders and Subsequent Additions. Warranty coverage applies only to products and services specifically included within the original contract or approved written change orders. Subsequent additions, modifications, upgrades, or customer-requested alterations may be subject to separate pricing, scheduling, production timelines, and warranty terms.
7. Filing A Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, the purchaser must notify Crestwood Cabinet Company in writing after discovering the issue.
The claim should include:
Proof of purchase
Photos of the affected area
A written description of the concern
Installation location
Approximate installation date
Any relevant information regarding site conditions, use, cleaning, or maintenance
Crestwood Cabinet Company must be given the opportunity to inspect the cabinetry or affected component before any repair, replacement, or alteration is made.
No repairs, refinishing, replacements, or third-party work may be performed without prior written authorization from Crestwood Cabinet Company. Unauthorized work may void warranty coverage and will not be reimbursed.
If requested, defective parts must be returned to Crestwood Cabinet Company for evaluation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the purchaser is responsible for shipping, handling, removal, and reinstallation costs.
Opportunity to Cure
Prior to initiating mediation, arbitration, litigation, chargebacks, complaints to regulatory agencies, hiring third-party contractors, or seeking reimbursement from Crestwood Cabinet Company, the purchaser shall provide Crestwood Cabinet Company with written notice of the alleged defect and a reasonable opportunity to inspect and cure the issue.
Failure to provide Crestwood Cabinet Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect and cure the alleged defect may void warranty coverage for the affected claim to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Warranty Service Timeframe
Crestwood Cabinet Company will make reasonable commercial efforts to review and address valid warranty claims in a timely manner; however, due to the custom and made-to-order nature of cabinetry manufacturing, service timelines may vary significantly depending on production schedules, material availability, finish matching requirements, vendor lead times, shipping conditions, installer scheduling, and overall claim complexity.
Any timelines discussed verbally, by email, text message, or otherwise communicated regarding warranty review, repair, replacement, refinishing, or service are estimates only and shall not constitute guaranteed completion dates.
Crestwood Cabinet Company reserves the right to schedule, delay, defer, batch, or otherwise coordinate warranty work in a manner consistent with normal business operations, production capacity, workforce availability, and material sourcing considerations. Warranty service shall be performed within a commercially reasonable timeframe as determined solely by Crestwood Cabinet Company.
Warranty claims do not take precedence over active production schedules, ongoing projects, previously scheduled service work, or jobs currently in fabrication or installation.
In certain circumstances, temporary conditions including but not limited to material shortages, discontinued products, backordered hardware, finish curing requirements, freight delays, weather events, labor shortages, vendor delays, site readiness issues, or circumstances beyond Crestwood’s reasonable control may substantially extend resolution timelines.
Because many Crestwood products are custom-built, handcrafted, finished-to-order, or manufactured in small production batches, exact repair or replacement dates cannot be guaranteed.
Crestwood Cabinet Company shall not be liable for incidental damages, delays, loss of use, project delays, contractor costs, temporary housing costs, inconvenience, or other consequential damages arising from the timing of warranty service, replacement component availability, or scheduling delays.
Unauthorized repairs, refinishing, alterations, or replacement work performed by others prior to Crestwood’s written approval may void all applicable warranty coverage and will not be eligible for reimbursement.
9. Available Remedies
For valid warranty claims, Crestwood Cabinet Company may, at its sole discretion, provide one or more of the following remedies:
Repair of the defective component
Replacement of the defective component
Replacement with a current equivalent product
Prorated credit toward replacement
Another reasonable remedy determined by Crestwood Cabinet Company
Crestwood Cabinet Company does not guarantee an exact match in color, grain, sheen, profile, finish, hardware, or material, especially when the original product has aged, changed over time, or been discontinued.
Any replacement component may vary from the original due to natural material variation, finish aging, supplier changes, product updates, or discontinued materials.
10. Prorated Warranty Schedule
For claims arising after the expected service life of ten (10) years, Crestwood Cabinet Company reserves the right to apply prorated coverage.
The following schedule may be used as a general guideline:
Years in ServicePercentage of Component Cost Covered
0–5 years - 100%
6–10 years 80%
11–15 years 50%
16–20 years 25%
Over 20 yearsEvaluated at Crestwood Cabinet Company’s discretion
This prorated coverage applies only to the defective component itself. Labor, shipping, removal, reinstallation, finishing of surrounding materials, plumbing, electrical, countertops, tile, flooring, painting, drywall, and other related costs are excluded.
11. Care and Maintenance Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, cabinetry must be properly cared for and maintained.
The purchaser is responsible for:
Maintaining normal indoor humidity and temperature levels
Promptly wiping spills, splashes, and standing water
Avoiding prolonged exposure to steam, heat, water, or direct sunlight
Cleaning cabinetry only with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner
Avoiding harsh chemicals, bleach, ammonia, solvents, waxes, or abrasive pads
Using cabinetry only for normal residential storage and function
Avoiding excessive loads on shelves, drawers, doors, and hardware
Failure to properly maintain the cabinetry may void warranty coverage.
12. Environmental Conditions
Wood and wood-based products naturally expand and contract with changes in humidity and temperature. Minor movement, hairline cracks at joints, slight panel movement, finish checking, and seasonal changes are normal characteristics of wood cabinetry and are not considered defects.
Cabinetry should be kept in a controlled interior environment. Excessive humidity, dryness, moisture, heat, cold, or sunlight may cause movement, warping, swelling, shrinking, cracking, discoloration, or finish damage that is not covered by this warranty.
13. Limitations of Liability
Crestwood Cabinet Company’s sole obligation under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, prorated credit, or another remedy determined by Crestwood Cabinet Company.
Crestwood Cabinet Company shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of use
Loss of income
Project delays
Contractor costs
Temporary housing
Inconvenience
Damage to other property
Removal or reinstallation costs
Plumbing, electrical, countertop, tile, flooring, drywall, or painting costs
Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so certain limitations may not apply.
14. Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original residential consumer purchaser and is non-transferable.
This warranty terminates if the original purchaser sells, transfers, rents, or otherwise no longer owns the home where the cabinetry was originally installed.
15. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration and terms of this written warranty.
No dealer, contractor, installer, employee, representative, or other person is authorized to modify, expand, or extend this warranty unless approved in writing by Crestwood Cabinet Company.
16. Warranty Modifications
Crestwood Cabinet Company reserves the right to modify, revise, discontinue, or update this warranty at any time without prior notice.
Any such modifications shall apply prospectively and shall not revive, extend, or expand previously resolved, expired, denied, or excluded warranty claims.
17. Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the state where the cabinetry was installed.
Any disputes related to this warranty shall first be submitted to Crestwood Cabinet Company in writing. The purchaser shall provide Crestwood Cabinet Company a reasonable opportunity to inspect and address the issue before pursuing mediation, arbitration, litigation, or third-party corrective work.
Nothing in this provision shall require Crestwood Cabinet Company to admit liability or waive any rights, defenses, exclusions, or limitations contained within this warranty.
18. Entire Agreement
This warranty constitutes the entire and exclusive warranty provided by Crestwood Cabinet Company for its cabinetry.
No oral statements, text messages, emails, social media messages, advertisements, proposals, estimates, invoices, website language, marketing materials, project schedules, target dates, or other communications shall modify, expand, waive, or supersede this warranty unless expressly approved in a written agreement signed by Crestwood Cabinet Company.

This warranty is non-transferable. Remedies are limited to repair, replacement, prorated credit, or another remedy determined by Crestwood Cabinet Company. This warranty excludes labor, removal, reinstallation, normal wear, environmental damage, misuse, unauthorized repairs, and incidental or consequential damages.
